One of the most popular Korean Boy Band, DAY6’s subunit Even of Day is back with another series of ‘comfort’ songs in their new mini album “Right Through Me”!
DAY6 just released their latest album “The Book of Us: Negentropy” this year May after the enlistment of the band leader, Sungjin! The Days are definitely even happier to hear their new works again after 2 months with Even of Day making their comeback.
What is Even of Day? : DAY6 (Even of Day) is a subunit from DAY6 formed by Young K, Wonpil and Dowoon. Young K and Wonpil are my favorite vocalists in the main band while Dowoon is the drummer. The trio made their first appearance with their first mini album last summer in 2020, “The Book of Us, Gluon” and the title track “When the Sea Sleeps” is among my favorite song of them!
About the title song ‘Right Through Me’ (λ«κ³ μ§λκ°μ)
According the NME, we can feel all the vibes and feelings of nostalgia, modern, sad and hope in the short 3 minutes of this song. DAY6 were interviewed on how they came out with this work with the combination of different styles.
We didnβt think of every single part of what we made, but just went with the flow. When weβre singing a bright song, we want it to be touching, and when weβre singing a sad song, we want to put hope in it.

The album concept was vintage to match the styles of their songs in the album. To be honest, DAY6 members’ visuals are the best in the industry. Personally, I’m very ‘attached’ to Wonpil. He is handsome, he knows music, and most importantly, his voice is just heavenly. π

I’ve been listening to DAY6 songs since their debut and there are not many successful Korean bands like them in the industry.
While many fans complain about how DAY6 were not treated fairly by their agency, they are doing their best to produce more songs that connect to The Days! Their songs always comfort me when I feel down and discouraged, and also during moments of happiness!
