BTS’s Suga New Mixtape AGUST D-2 Breaking All Sorts of Stereotypes

The most anticipated comeback of Agust D is finally here! After dropping hints of the mixtape on Twitter for 6 consecutive days which left ARMYs to come up with different theories and opinions about it, Big Hit finally released the mixtape’s title track MV called “Daechwita” on Youtube that has collected nearly 25 million views within 24 hours. Check out the music video below!

Agust D ‘대취타’ MV

After his first mixtape, Agust D which was released on August 15, 2016, this is definitely an ultimate comeback with intense lyrics and bombastic beats to satisfy your 2020. The interesting part is the messages that Suga conveyed through his music left many ARMYs speechless. Well, its certainly not a new thing, Suga is always known for his savage and relaxed attitude among the BTS members but expressing everything openly through a song? Yeah that’s avant-garde.

Asians are always stereotyped as a conservative community where people don’t really express their inner self in a very open way but Suga did it and proves that perception is wrong.

Some of the ARMYs think that Suga kept all his anger and rage from haters just to slam them through his mixtapes.

Not to forget the fact that Suga acted as a King during the Joseon era in the Daechwita MV, apparently it’s a taboo that one should not have scars in order to become a king. However he totally broke the stereotype and became one in his own MV.

Needless to say the cameo of Bang PD, BTS Jin and Jungkook in the MV really did steal our attention for a second. Just because it’s a MV with a fierce theme, doesn’t mean you can’t have some funny parts in it right?

BONUS : SUGA’s SELCAS

Suga certainly have everything in his way or not at all. Overall, Daechwita is a tremendous song from Suga’s new mixtape. Make sure to stream Agust D-2 mixtape which consists of 10 songs on Spotify and Youtube!

Synopsis

Itaewon Class tells the story of ex-convict Park Sae-ro-yi (Park Seo-joon) whose life has been turned upside down after he gets expelled from school for punching a bully and his father is killed in an accident. Following his father’s steps, he opens his bar-restaurant DanBam (Sweet Night) in Itaewon and, along with his manager and staff, strive towards success and reaching greater heights.

Never give up on something you believe in

So often when we face challenges, we tend to give up or run away thinking that those problems would vanish into the thin air and we all can pretend nothing has happened and just continue our daily routine. However, Park Sae Ro Yi, who is the protagonist of this drama, is an exception. He has certainly portrayed a very strong message whereby his character is enormously tested in various major events in his life. Started from his father’s unjust death and then his downfall where he was jailed because he lashed out to Jang Geun Won for killing his father. Yet he still rose up from scratch and followed his dreams which is to open up his restaurant in memory of his father besides taking revenge towards Jangga company.

Synopsis

Crash Landing on You tells the story of two star crossed lovers, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), a South Korean Chaebol heiress, and Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin), a member of the North Korean elite and a Captain in the North Korean Special Police Force. One day while Yoon Se-ri goes for a short paragliding ride in Seoul, South Korea, a sudden tornado knocks her out and blows her off course. She awakens to find herself up a tree in a forest in the DMZ in North Korea, an area forbidden for South Koreans. There she meets Ri Jeong-hyeok, literally falling into his arms from the tree. Ri Jeong-hyeok eventually gives Yoon Se-ri shelter, and develops plans to secretly help her return to South Korea. Over time, they fall in love, despite the divide and dispute between their respective countries.

What is love without sacrifices?

Just like Jack gave up on himself into the icy water so that Rose can be saved in the movie Titanic, making sacrifices is one ultimate sign of devotion to another person. In this scenario, Ri Jeong Hyeok, a captain in the Korean People’s Army who is from a powerful family fated to encounter Yoon Se Ri through an unavoidable accident in North Korea. Along his journey securing Se Ri’s return to South Korea, their love just grew bigger everytime they face obstacles and sticky situations. Captain Ri even took a bullet for Se Ri but she did not use that chance to go back to South Korea, instead she was persistent to stay and donated her blood to save Captain Ri. What really made our heart goes “omo~~~nomu yongamhada” is when he literally went through old gold mine tunnel that was nearly ten kilometers long just to enter South Korea to protect Se Ri from Cho Cheol Gang. We all know how risky is that situation right?

The World of the Married

부부의 세계
bubu-ui sae-gye
via Google

Synopsis

Ji Sun-woo (Kim Hee-ae) is a family medicine doctor. She is married to Lee Tae-oh (Park Hae-joon) and they have a son. She seems to have everything, including a successful career and a happy family, but unbeknownst to her, she is betrayed by her husband and friends. Meanwhile Lee Tae-oh dreams of becoming a famous movie director. He runs an entertainment business with the support of his wife. Even though he loves his wife, Lee Tae-Oh falls into a dangerous relationship.

The Less You Trust, The Less You Get Hurt

It seems common to exchange passwords with your significant other, even giving up everything you have just to live with your partner. To be told you are trusted is an even greater feeling, but you should never take advantage of that trust. I believe that trust is an even greater compliment than to be loved. Ji Sun Woo, who is a successful doctor, mother and wife evidently went through something that no married woman would even want to imagine, cheating. Her husband, Lee Tae Oh turned out to have a scandal with a younger rich woman. And what’s more sickening is, her circle of friends knew about her husband’s loathsome side all along and has even helped him to cover his nasty doings. The ‘friends’ whom she really thought she can count on, betrayed her. Yet after she thought her close friend, Go Ye Rim, would side with her, her so called bestfriend continues to stand by for his husband as she was blinded by her greed to become the associate director of the hospital. When it comes to handling conflicts, it’s strongly recommended that even if everything seems so perfect, trust your instinct beyond anyone else’s.

via Google

Amazing right? Who knows that just by watching K-Dramas you can learn important life lessons! Unnie made it a habit to extract the moral from each and every movie or drama that I watch. Guess what? It actually inspires me to become a better person! Maybe you should start too hehe.
