EXO-L (EXO fan-club name) must be really excited that ‘The Box’ will be in Malaysian cinemas starting April 8!
Since ever EXO Chanyeol scandal last year, he was starting to get inactive in schedule which worries the fans. Upon the release of ‘The Box’ in Malaysia and other countries, EXO-L already knew that he is going to enlist soon after that.
So, let me bring you back to 8th of April 2021 which Iโve watched the film premier and that was super fun, amazing and exciting! *even though I canโt go watch with the fan project, but I am beyond happy since I went there at their 1st premier, and also the day of EXO 9th Debut Anniversary.
What is the story about in ‘The Box’ (2021)?
The movie tells a story about Ji Hoon (starred by Chanyeol) who feared toperform in front of people without wearing the box on him. Min Soo (starred by Jo Dal Hwan), once a successful producer who went bankrupt found Ji Hoon and decided help him transforming into a successful performer throughout the music journey.ย
‘The Box (2021)’ is all about friendship
As you watched along the movie, Jihoon and Min Soo slowly developed their friendship through this difficult journey of success. FYI, this is musical movie which you will never get bored. You know how talented Chanyeol is, right? *melting*
Lesson from ‘The Box (2021)’: Overcome your fear, out of the box with inevitable ambitions
Look how scared Ji Hoon was when Min Soo asked him to perform for the first time. He eventually fainted due to his fear. It’s funny but somehow it is a serious trauma that he developed since childhood which he overcame it in the end.
Journey of self-revelation, chasing one’s dream & figuring out ‘what is life’
Believing on how good Ji Hoon was, Min Soo eager to find everything that could make Ji Hoon perform even with the box. The production of the movie, including the songs, dialogues and acting were really good for me. There is this one scene where Ji Hoon run out while crying, expressing his fear to step up and sing confidently without the box. Seeing this scene, I feel myself in the story. I was thinking to myself with similar experiences as well.

The movie was so good even till the last, all the audience remained seated as a sign of respect, until the screen faded. ใ ใ ใ No matter how, we did enjoy our EXO Park Chanyeol and hope he will comeback healthily soon.
I would give all full mark for the song and the movie but I wish the movie could be more than that because it was so short! They had promoted Korean food in each region as well. I want to go to Korea again once Corona ends.
