Malaysian in ‘Train to Busan Present Peninsula’ ?!

One of the most anticipated korean movie in 2020, ‘Train to Busan Presents Peninsula’ is finally available at Malaysia’s cinemas. Have you watched it? I managed to watch it just now and it was amazing as expected! Here’s the movie trailer for those who haven’t watched it yet.

At a particular part of the movie, I saw a familiar logo and I couldn’t believe my eyes. After asking for confirmation from others who already watched the movie, turns out I wasn’t wrong. It was the logo of our national’s flag (Jalur Gemilang) on Major Jane’s uniform!

So who is Major Jane and why is she wearing a uniform with Jalur Gemilang logo? Actually, Major Jane is played by a Malaysian actress, Bella Rahim.

She got the role after getting shortlisted from the worldwide casting held on May 2019. To Bella Rahim, we are really proud of you~ Keep up the good work, fighting! You really proved that Malaysia Boleh!

On one of her interview, she mentioned that Train To Busan (2016) is one of her favorite international movies. When she was asked about her experience working with South Korea’s top actor, Gang Dong Won, she said Dong Won is fluent in English and also treats her like a long time friends eventhough it’s their first time meeting. Bella also asked Lee Jung Hyun for the secret to stay young and her answer was, “wear face mask every night before sleeping”.

For the full video of Bella Rahim’s interview, you can watch it here.

If you haven’t watched the movie yet, you really should because according to Bella, there are more zombies here compared to the first one. Besides, we also have a Malaysian representative in the movie! Go book your ticket at the nearest cinema now! but make sure to follow the SOP guidelines okay~

If you are done watching the movie, tell me what do you think about it in the comment section!

Till then, see you later~
